Luke Hutchinson says Harrogate Town can achieve anything they want this season after a 1-0 win at Woking extended their winning run to four games. The on-loan Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper kept his third consecutive clean sheet in the victory, which leaves the club second in the National League standings. "We are a really good team, so we can do anything we want this season," Hutchinson said. The 24-year-old has played every minute since joining at the start of September and made a key save in the first half at Woking. "I made a decent save in the first half, so it was nice to contribute," he added. "But that is what I am there for."
Form and confidence
Ellis Taylor's 32nd-minute goal secured the three points in difficult conditions. The team's recent form, which includes wins over Eastleigh, Hartlepool and AFC Hornchurch, has propelled them to 28 points from 13 games. That strong run has seen the team climb the standings and now sit seven points behind leaders Boreham Wood. Hutchinson credited the collective effort for the defensive solidity. "I’ve got to credit Phil [Priestley], the goalie coach, but credit goes to everyone," he said. "All the lads are doing really well. I am buzzing for everyone involved." The goalkeeper's personal contribution is reflected in the team's defensive stats during this period.
Looking ahead
The goalkeeper emphasised the need to maintain momentum as the squad prepares for its next challenge. "We’ve got to keep pushing, racking up those clean sheets, keep on scoring goals," Hutchinson stated. Harrogate Town host Sutton United at home on 24 October, aiming to extend their winning streak to five matches. Sutton currently sit 13th in the table.
