Harrogate Town have launched a competition for a young fan to win a Bronze Mascot Experience at the Marcy Fitness Stadium. The contest is open to local children aged between five and 13, offering a unique opportunity to be part of matchday as the club pursues promotion from the National League. The team currently sits 2nd in the National League with 31 points from 15 games, a record of ten wins, one draw and four losses.
Entry is open to anyone aged 18 or over who lives within 15 miles of Harrogate. The prize is a single Bronze Mascot Experience with Harrogate Town AFC. The winning child will lead the team out onto the pitch, have a photograph taken in the centre circle, see their picture displayed on the stadium's LED screen, and receive a shoutout over the public address system.
Entry rules and restrictions
Specific eligibility rules govern the competition. Employees of Your Media Group, all organisations providing prizes, their participating sponsors, agencies, and immediate families are not eligible to take part. Only one prize is available per person or household. All prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other prizes, though sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
Winners will be contacted by phone and must claim their prize within 12 hours, or another winner will be selected. No purchase is necessary to enter. Your Media Group reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who does not follow the rules, is found ineligible, or engages in fraudulent behaviour. By entering, contestants agree that their name may be publicised online, on air, and on social media, and that winning phone calls may be broadcast on Your Media Group radio stations. The decision of the Content Director is final in any dispute.
The competition closes at 11:59pm on Sunday 22nd November 2026, with winners selected after that date. This community initiative comes as Harrogate Town sit second in the National League table with 31 points from 15 games. The club's strong league position, ten points behind leaders Boreham Wood, adds significance to the chance for a young fan to experience a key season firsthand. The team's recent form has been built on a solid defence, conceding just 15 goals in those 15 matches, while their next fixture is a key home match against third-placed Solihull Moors, a direct rival in the promotion chase. The club's overall goal difference stands at +11, having scored 32 and conceded 21 this season. Their recent form over the last five matches shows two wins, two draws and one defeat, including a 2-2 draw at Forest Green on Saturday 31 October. The next opportunity for a mascot to lead the team out will be the home fixture against Altrincham, who are 7th, on Saturday 14 November.
