Harrogate Town Signs Promising Forward Brad Dolaghan
Harrogate Town has made a significant addition to their squad by bringing on board last year's top scorer in Conference South, Brad Dolaghan. The 21-year-old forward is expected to bring his goal-scoring prowess and youthful promise to the club.
Dolaghan's impressive form for Worthing saw him net 23 goals during the 2024-25 season, a tally that was only bettered by five other players in the northern division. Crucially, he is one of the youngest among these top scorers, which Harrogate Town believes will allow him to continue improving at Wetherby Road.
"[Brad Dolaghan] is a young, exciting centre-forward who knows where the back of the net is," said Lloyd Kelly, Harrogate Town's head of recruitment. "He’s a natural finisher, gets in great positions and has great movement, and at 21 he’s only going to get better."
Addressing Goal Scoring Needs
Harrogate Town has lacked a reliable goalscorer since Luke Armstrong's move to Carlisle United in the mid-season window of 2023. Armstrong had scored 11 goals during the previous season but was unable to replicate that form upon his return, managing only five goals as Harrogate were relegated from the Football League after six seasons.
Jack Muldoon did score 11 goals last season, but no other centre-forward has reached double-figure league goals for the club since. Dolaghan's arrival is seen as a significant step towards addressing this critical need in the team’s forward line.
Dolaghan's career path includes a brief stint at West Ham United and a loan spell at Aldershot, where he won the FA Trophy. His experience across different clubs suggests that he can adapt to various environments and bring his best form to Harrogate Town.
