Simon Weaver blamed a lack of defensive organisation for the late collapse, stating that his players could and should have dealt with the two defensive situations better. "We are deflated," he said. "We didn’t deal with two scenarios and we have to look at those. I’m not going to shoot from the hip or name names, but we have to organise and be better in those moments."

The hosts re-took the lead late on through Cathal Heffernan, but Barrow pegged them back for a second time from almost the last kick of the afternoon as Innes Cameron headed home at a corner. Weaver added, "It was tough going. It was quite a fractious encounter. I knew that Barrow were going to go man-for-man and try to stop our flow, and it was very stop-start."
